Heads Up!

I'm still working on the third book in the "Lirin Bahonan" series, "The War of the Mask", and it's still only at around 11,000 words or so. Maybe more.
But I just wanna give you the heads up... there won't be any more books after this one. Sorry...

...

...Heeheehee. If that gave you a sinking feeling, then I'm sincerely flattered. I'M ONLY JOKING. I'm not nearly done yet!
In fact, I actually wanted to give you the heads up that you might be expecting a spinoff series from this one and it's gonna be just as epic, if you don't mind my saying!
I won't announce any more details until the final book of this series has been finished, but here's a hint that'll keep you at the edge of your seat; the main character won't be Lirin Bahonan. Ooooooh...

Also, I'm going to begin editing "The Dawnwolf" staring January of next year, I think.
Hold onto your socks, people!

NaNoWriMo: Day 30

As you can clearly see, I've already won this year's NaNoWriMo challenge, at 50,004 words! I'm a darn happy camper over here, and I'm looking forward to editing this novel and getting it out there via CreateSpace's offer!
I have a ton of stuff to do today, so alas, I won't be throwing a crazy party... boo.
I hope you throw one, though, if you've won also! And even if you haven't, or can't for some reason, throw one anyway! Come on, just a little one?
If you're not done yet, or nowhere near done, or maybe you just don't have time and are unable... you deserve no less credit for at least attending and doing your best! Be proud of what you've done, and congratulations to all!
I'll be looking forward to next year's challenge, and happy early December!

After this, I'll probably wait until January to edit "The Dawnwolf". For your information, it turned out to be GOOD! But it can be better.
In the meantime, I'll be getting back to my regular writing!

Peace out!

NaNoWriMo: Day 23

Day 23 out of 30!
You probably noticed I finally found the NaNoWriMo word count widget. So, instead of me telling you every few days how far I've gotten, you can see for yourself! Oh, yes, you can spy on me even when I don't have anything new to say for myself.
All I can tell you is that things are getting a little tense in my novel right now since I'm nearing my climax...

So, with all of that out of the way, here's to a victorious final 7 days of writing!

(Edit: Oh, yeah, and I was gonna change my blog theme, since this current one is my personal "default", but I'll do that later. XD)

NaNo WriMo: Day 19

I know, I know, I should be posting way more often than I have been... Currently, I'm at 31,016 words out of 50,000, with 18,984 more to go! (Yes, I just stole that info from the epic new NaNoWriMo stats page...)
Anyway, with that out of the way, I can't tell you what just happened in my story, but that's okay because if you really care, you can just read it when it's finished. How about that? XD
Instead, I will, at long last, present to you the mini-character descriptions of the three main "heroes" in my novel, "The Dawnwolf":

Mori: The protagonist. Mori is a young, Tannish elf boy who lives with his family on a homestead in the Kattiro fields.
Mori is often careful and a bit timid in nature, and he has many fears that hinder him during his journey. However, he has a strong will and can be very stubborn, and refuses to give up, even when it all seems hopeless.

Albira (The Dawnwolf): The deuteragonist. Albira is a small wolf who has unusual pink and gold markings on her white coat, and she, too, lives in Kattiro.
She is normally of a kind, gentle and sweet temperament, and although she cannot speak, she is oddly expressive in human ways and is a good listener. However, she can smell evil on people and can become ferocious when facing off against them.

Luther: A major supporting character. Luther is a rather feminine-looking young man who is also a Tannish elf, and he carries around a banjo that comes in handy for many things, while riding about on a donkey. Although he's a traveler, he calls a place in the Lonari fields as his home.
Luther is very outgoing and upbeat most of the time, but he's blunt and a bit of a smart-arse. Not only that, but he's an extremely reckless daredevil (a stark contrast from Mori) who tends to run headlong into situations and saves thinking for after the leap.

Oh, yeah, and here's the main villain:

Adolphus: The Antagonist. Adolphus is a rather large Tannish man, which is unusual. He's a hunter who is know by some as a hero in Kattiro, but a wanted outlaw in Lonari.
Adolphus is very rough, violent and rude, and has a short fuse. Although he appears to be a bumbling idiot with an attempted 'serious' facade, he has hidden motives and is very devious, along with his four other 'henchmen'. His interest is unusually piqued when it comes to Albira, yet he apparently wants her dead. Perhaps he wants her fur?

And that is all for now. I'm going back to my writing! See ya!

NaNoWriMo: Day 7

Yes, we're about one week into NaNoWriMo, and I have 13,300 words thus far. Today, I wrote 2,011 words. How cool is that? 2011! XD
Anyway, I'm finally getting toward the main-er part of the storyline: Mori and Albira just recently met Luther and they decided to go with him on his journey, which has the same goal as theirs; to find the cure for the disease going around.
Right now, Mori is crossing the river with Albira and Luther, and he's horridly afraid of it; his first river crossing was at a young age, and there was trouble that almost caused him to fall into the water.
Quite traumatic. Mori is also afraid of hurricanes and the dark.

With that out of the way, I'll post the brief character descriptions later on (haven't I said that already?) just like before!
Here's the slightly updated and a more tolerable version of "The Dawnwolf" summary, though I still think it's too long. You know me, I'm really long winded...:

In the distant land of Tanakosk, a young elven boy named Mori lives with his family on a large farm in Kattiro field. Here, it is known to all of the farmers that a small wolf (known as the Dawnwolf) comes at the first light of sunrise to awaken them to a new day with her melodious cry.
However, their peaceful lives are soon to come to a swift end; a terrible disease is spreading among the people, and with it, an oncoming famine is making everything worse... Soon, even the Dawnwolf retreats and howls no more.
One day, while Mori is out playing by himself in the woods by Dawn Hill, he discovers the Dawnwolf laying starving and wounded by a stream, and takes her in immediately, but keeps it a secret from everyone else. He does his best to heal her wounds, and stealthily feeds her scraps from his lacking meals, leading her on the road to recovery. As they gradually form a strong bond, Mori names her Albira, which little does he know, is her real name...
Alas, the secret doesn't stay for long; a rumor starts spreading that Albira is responsible for the famine, that she's been killing and destroying crops and livestock, and before long, Mori's older brother Ven discovers Albira. Mori refuses to let him harm her, and frees Albira and lets her flee.
After this, a cloud falls over the family, and eventually the virus encroaches upon them and afflicts Mori's parents and his little sister Eve, who is the only one besides himself who believes that Albira is somehow their hope for their survival, not their enemy.
When the doctor does all he can and can do nothing more, Mori makes the astounding decision to leave his family's care in his brother's hands and determinedly sets off to find help.
He finds Albira again and heads for town, where he meets an odd young man, a banjoist named Luther, who tells him he's heard a rumor about a rare flower known to be a cure-all, which grows in Alumea, a far forest in northwest Tanakosk. He insists on accompanying Mori, and the three of them agree to cooperate together, and thus, they make their journey across the land.
But Mori will experience the unimaginable, and face his worst fears... not only that, but as the situation starts to become complicated, things don't turn out to be nearly as easy as he hoped.

No, I won't keep posting this summary over and over again... I'll look over it properly in later time, but this will be sufficient for now!

That's all for now; busy, busy, you know!

NANOWRIMO, PEOPLE!

Yes, people, I'm posting this on the 2nd and telling you that NaNoWriMo started.... yesterday.
So, let me tell you a bit about my novel! Like I said before, this one replaced "Midori Ookami", and it's called "The Dawnwolf", and I finished its air-hanging, plot-holed development in the last three days of October. It's still a little unorganized, since I have other things I'm doing as well, but I'll get it in order. I wrote my disorganized summary on my NaNoWriMo profile, too... I can do better. I was tired:

In the distant land of Tanakosk, a young elven boy named Mori lives with his family on a large farm in Kattiro field. Here, it is known to all of the farmers that a small wolf (known as the Dawnwolf) comes at the first light of sunrise to awaken them to a new day with her melodious cry.
However, their peaceful lives are soon to come to a swift end; a terrible plague is spreading among the people, and with it, an oncoming famine is making everything worse... soon, even the Dawnwolf retreats and howls no more.
One day, while Mori is out playing by himself in the woods by Dawn Hill, he discovers the Dawnwolf laying starving and wounded by a stream, and takes her in immediately, but keeps it a secret from everyone else. Healing her injuries and feeding her with scraps from his lacking yet sustaining meals, he nurses her back to health in a matter of days, and eventually names her "Albira".
Alas, the secret doesn't stay for long; a rumor starts spreading that Albira is responsible for the famine, that she's been killing and destroying crops and livestock, and before long, Mori's older brother, Ven, discovers the Dawnwolf. Mori stops him just in time before he attempts to shoot her with his rifle, and he is stubborn, refusing to let Ven harm her, and frees Albira and lets her flee.
After this, a cloud falls over the family, and eventually the plague encroaches upon them and afflicts Mori's parents and his little sister, Eve.

He makes the astounding decision to leave their care in his brother's hands and determinedly sets off to find the cure. He finds Albira again and sets off for town, where he meets an odd young man, a banjoist named Luther, who tells him he's heard a rumor about a rare flower known to be a cure-all, which grows in Alumea, a far forest in northwest Tanakosk. He insists on accompanying Mori, and the three of them agree to cooperate together, and thus, set off across the land.
But Mori will experience the unimaginable, and face his worst fears... and things don't turn out to be nearly as easy as he thought.

Too long, eh? Also not very exciting. -_-
This is a pretty bad summary, but you get the gist of it, I suppose. I'll write a better one when I have time to spare...
I'll post the characters tomorrow and keep you updated with spoiler-free sneak peeks at my novel!

Last-minute change of plan!!

Yeah, I decided to write "The Dawnwolf" after all, and I've ditched "Midori Ookami"... because it wasn't satisfying enough, and no matter what I did, it lacked originality, so I got disgusted and gave up. XD
Since yesterday evening, I've been madly getting the plot and storyline together, and I've nearly finished with the rough outline, but it still needs a little more... so I'm fighting to get to the finish line before time is up!
Thankfully, I'm nearly done. I have all the characters, and the plot has been developing on its own for a few years (yes indeedy), but I filled in several off the holes and put it all together.
Since I don't have much time to waste, I'll tell you the rest later.

Ta-ta!

Two down... (LB:LT)

... Three more to go!
Yes, you'd better believe it! I've finished the second book in the "Lirin Bahonan" series, with a score of 67,000 words! It's about 5,000 words less than the first book, which was obviously, if you can count, 72,000 words.
But, as you've heard me say time and time again, it's not really, actually finished. The first draft is; the storyline is. There are a few holes and a mass of typos and grammatical errors that I'll fix when the time comes. I can edit/revise anytime, but I don't want lose sight of the other novel ideas, so I'd best write them all up while I can. Then again, these ideas aren't something I can easily forget, so I guess I really am just putting off work...

Anyhoo, I'm writing third book in the "Lirin Bahonan" series, "The War of the Mask", right away, but I'll break from it during NaNoWriMo, duh.
Further details come later, but spoiler-free, guaranteed!

...If you're curious, I'd say it took me about 2-3 months to write "LN:LT", excluding some of the slack-off days. Some. I think.

Dismissed!

Midori Ookami: Sacred Artifacts

As I promised, I'm going to be posting today about the different artifacts/weapons in "Midori Ookami"!
There are six total:

The Golden Mirror of Takamagahara: Midori's mirror artifact/weapon. This mirror was rumored to be enshrined in a great temple within the High Plain of the Heavens, until it was shattered into three pieces.
Each stray piece represents a different thing; courage and loyalty, wisdom and honor, and then strength and warrior spirit. All combined, it creates the complete mirror once more, with the ability to smite the evil encroaching upon the land of Nippon.

The Broken Sun Annihilator: Kurayami's mirror artifact/weapon. It was once the "Eight Hand Mirror", a sacred artifact enshrined within a certain place in Takamagahara, but Kurayami took it and shattered its face, combining some of Amaterasu's stolen power within it as well as her own to create the Broken Sun Annihilator, and thus made it hers to keep.

Sword of Storms: Kai (Midori's sister)'s sword artifact/weapon. It's a large, long, curve-edged blade, rumored to have one belonged to the storm god, Susano-o. It has the ability to summon storms by merely pointing it to the skies and uttering a brief prayer.

Dragon's Roar: Kenta (Midori's brother)'s sword artifact/weapon. A gigantic, ragged-edged blade that was enshrined at the Temple of Chie to protect Ougon City from disaster, until Kenta took it.
The sword is capable of bursting into flames with one violent swing.

Beads of the Sun: Akai (and later Akane)'s bead-strand artifact/weapon. This strand of polished, red magatama beads represents the heat and light of the sun, and is rumored to have been the sun goddess' necklace.

Fangs of a Fallen Beast: Yoru's bead-strand artifact/weapon. A strand of sharp fang beads that once belonged to a vicious beast, imbued with powerful darkness. It was given to Yoru by Kurayami.

...And that's all of them! You'll find more details about how they all came to be and how all of the characters got them when... you read the book
Sorry, I'm thinning out the spoilers as much as I can. I guarantee you that this novel will be entirely possible to obtain once I start selling it on Amazon/CreateSpace, if I decide to do so.

See you, bro!

Midori Ookami: The Characters

Yes, well, I admit I completely copied my friend's idea of posting information/descriptions about/for my NaNoWriMo characters, since I realized that I HADN'T. And that's not good. How am I supposed to keep your attention if you don't know who my characters are this November? Yeahhhhh! So, we have...:

Midori: The protagonist of the story. Midori is courageous, bold, and has an outgoing personality. He detests drama and doesn't sweat the small or big stuff. He also dislikes being praised and thanked profusely, and can become easily embarrassed, or in other cases, if he's being scolded, he's easily ashamed.
Midori is a green wolf, and he bears a weapon known as the Golden Mirror of Takamagahara.

Taiyou: The deuteragonist of the story. Taiyou is Midori's fairy companion, and also a great, loyal messenger of the sun goddess, Amaterasu. She's bit bossy and is easily angered, but is normally cheerful and optimistic.

Kurayami: The antagonist of the story. Kurayami is the master of the Yami Plain, and also the most dreaded creature in all of Nippon. She's often cranky and snappish, and is prone to terrible tantrums, but she is also very beautiful, devious, and deceitful.
She bears a weapon known as the Broken Sun Annihilator.

Yoru: The "sub-villain" of the story.  He is portrayed as the primary antagonist, but really isn't. Yoru is fierce yet serious, but is full of a bitter sorrow deep inside that he dares not show. He has many secrets to hide as well, especially from his Master.
He bears a weapon known as the Fangs of a Fallen Beast.

Akai: A primary supporting character in the story. Akai is Akane's father, and he is grumpy and often made cross, and despite the fact he can be very ferocious and angry at times, not to mention blunt as well as rude,  he has a kind and protective side to him.
He bears a weapon known as the Beads of the Sun.

Akane: A primary supporting character in the story. Akane is Akai's daughter, and she has a giddy and upbeat personality and is easily excited, but can be very aggressive and even emotional at times.
Akai's weapon is later passed on to Akane.

Tsuki: A primary supporting character in this story. Tsuki is Akane's fairy companion, and he is quiet, even a bit peevish and unfriendly. He doesn't talk much, and (like Yoru) has many secrets.

((I'll post information about the items and some of the locations in this story later on.))

Oh, and I'm aware of their somewhat typical names, if you know what I mean. They're wolves. Get over it. XD

Planet Crichianadiie's Belated 3012th Birthday!

HOW COULD I FORGET MY OWN PLANET'S BIRTHDAY?!
I guess things really have been hectic lately. As of the 8th-9th of this month, Planet Crichianadiie turned 3012 years old. That was technically the New Year of the planet. Cool, huh?

Anyway, aside from that, I've mostly been working on "writing drills" to raise my skills a bit, but that's it until NaNoWriMo. I'm taking a break from "LB:LT" until afterward, but I'll probably work on it a little during this month... if I feel like it. It's bad, I know, but I don't have rules, do I?!

Well, I just felt like announcing that. I'm going back to my writing, then!

LB:LT: The Latest!

So! You undoubtedly saw my sweet new theme, right? Pretty simple, but it's cool enough, I'd say.

With that out of the way, I may as well tell you that I have completely forgotten to update you with the latest in "LB.LT"! I shall commence to tell the short version of the story, but first, you should know that I'm also thinking of changing the series name a little, as well as some of the novel titles, but that'll wait until the series is completed, I think.
Also, I won't be launching into long, spoiler-infested descriptions of my latest novel work anymore. If I'm going to publish, I really shouldn't be tossing all that out there if I want readers. -_-
So, long story short, Lirin succeeds in rescuing Lukamakari, but then Lord Shadowfang makes a major move in his evil plot, and it leaves everyone in a tight spot. Takuna has his own problems to sort out, so he leaves Lirin with full custody and control over of the Golden Chronicle, and it's up to him and his friends to sort out the problems at hand. They go to gather information in Tanakosk, the small, northwestern country, but to no avail, since their last source of information, their only hope, is destroyed when they're unexpected attacked by Time Wraiths.
Lirin manages to stop this from happening, but another problem comes up; the source of their hope loses it's memory, and they have to seek Wakini, the Ancient of Wisdom and Knowledge, in order to recover the memories.
And so! That is what's happening right now.

Oh, and a new character is Luther, an odd young man who claims to be a traveler, and calls Tanakosk his home at the end of the day. He possesses a donkey, and also a banjo, which comes in handy (he came to Lirin and his friend's rescue, and Time Wraiths were warded off by it's music) in many ways. He often uses it to express an emotion in the air, comically.
Luther has long, fair-colored hair, and he is fair-skinned, like most Tannish people. At first glance, Lirin mistook him for a woman. XD

And that's the latest! Until next time, with little to no spoilers!

'Hoy, there!

I haven't posted much these days... but if you're looking for at least some change, keep your eyes peeled for a new blog theme and background! I'm making a new one, and it's a-gonna kick arse.

Lately, I've only been gearing up for NaNoWriMo. I have been writing in "LB:LT", but it's slowed down a bit, so I think I'll take a break from it until I gain some inspiration.
I've also been working on a screenplay script about the Gray World, and the people who dwell within (MC is Bain). Don't ask WHY, I just feel like it...
That's pretty much it, though, aside from the usual, and my life outside of writing.

So! This is the basic cover image for my NaNoWriMo novel, "Midori Ookami". Check it out:

It really is quite simple. I plan to edit it a bit, or get a different image, but this one will do for now.

Until next time, then!

Midori Ookami

Okay, yeah, I changed the title of my NaNoWriMo novel, because "Midori the Green Wolf" sounded way to generic and boooring, like a kid's novel or something...
Also, I'm still working on it a bit, but here's a slightly dramatic version of my novel's basic summary:

An evil fog is engulfing the beautiful land of Nippon, but its origin is unknown…
On one seemingly ordinary day, while his older brother and sister are out training, Midori the green wolf is playing by himself in the Yama Inu forest, when he accidentally bumps into a pack of rival warrior wolves from the Yami Plain, and they seemed to have been specifically looking for him; to destroy him. He narrowly escapes the troop of powerful warriors, but outside of the confines of the forest is just as dangerous; the field is covered in utter darkness! He witnesses the sun itself become rent asunder, before he collapses and loses consciousness. A long time later, a fairy named Taiyou finds him and she manages to awaken him and explains that she’s the messenger of the great sun goddess, Amaterasu, sent to find and rescue Midori himself. She also says that, after she had departed on this quest, something had happened to Amaterasu—something terrible— and the land is in peril because of it. Only Midori can save his homeland from the oncoming chaos, and in order to do so, he must find three parts of a sacred weapon called the Golden Mirror of Takamagahara, found throughout the land, and make it whole before he can smite the evil once and for all. Together, he and Taiyou set off on a long, epic journey to banish the darkness and to obtain the divine powers that they seek, meeting many friends as well as enemies along the way. And Midori, after discovering that his much of pack was annihilated and captured in his absence, also has the resolve to also find his two missing siblings and avenge his family.
But who or what could be the cause of this sudden calamity? Could it be a mere wind and plague, brought with the mysterious warriors? Or is it something far worse than ever imagined…?

Voila. Lemme know if it needs correction anywhere... I do believe I need to edit it to make it sound a leeetle more interesting, though, so keep that in mind. XD
I'm still thinking up a design for my novel's cover image, too, which I still plan on painting.
And... this novel is nearly complete, development-wise!

See you, bro.

LB:LT: Era of the Ancients: 2911 Yrs. Ago

In case you didn't know, the planet Crichianadiie is only about 3000 years old. On October 9th of this year, however, it'll become 3012 years old.
Yeah? I kept track! What of it? Call me obsessed and I'm a-gonna clobber you over the head!
ANYWAY... that's not really important. As of late, in my novel, Lirin has used the Golden Chronicle to go back in time to the Era of the Ancients: 2911 years ago, to be exact.
It was quite stressful. After being attacked by a pack of rambunctious, black, clock-headed, humanoid monsters called Time Wraiths, and then being saved by a furry, human-headed, mythological beast known as Alphie, him and his friends are soon to come upon the underdeveloped Time City, which is soon attacked by the True Lord Shadowfang, the horror of the past in his full glory. Ick.
A prophesy tells that on the night of the red moon, Lyrune Bahonan (Lirin's first ancestor) would rise at last and oppose the Ragebeast (Lord Shadowfang) once and for all.
However, on the morning of that day, Lirin is rude awakened by a nasty, two-toned, red monster with a pentagon for a head, and his name is Pentagore. Totally cheesy, right?
((Originally, you might've seen that I changed it to Hexagore, but then I found that to be just a little too creepy and typical, so I changed it back to Pentagore. Moving on!))
Anyway, this winged horror cackles about how he's "..a-gonna sssssteal your sssssoul!", and then he soon snatches Lilli up and crashes out of the inn room window.
Lirin manages to protect Lilli and save her, but nearly kills himself while doing so, if not for Lilli's powers being awakened at that exact moment. She tells him a shocking secret which pulls them toward a final point of understanding, so it's all good and well.
After the night of the red moon, after Lyrune seals Lord Shadowfang away, peace and beauty is restored back to Evagren, and the actual objective to the party's mission is at hand.
The following day, Lirin has to talk to Lyrune in order to get his sword. After explaining that the sword was needed for the future and that Lyrune's hand would extend far upon aiding him, Lirin, his descendant, he finally exchanges swords (since Lyrune still needs a powerful sword, after all), and the mission is accomplished.
That's pretty much the gist of it, actually. After Takuna assigns Lirin to saving Lukamakari, when Lirin returns to the future, Lord Shadowfang's plan is finally unfolding...
Alas, I'm still trying to figure out what to do next. Urrgh... oh, well. XP

Until next time!

LB:LT: Timber the Scottish Wolf (and the Golden Chronicle)

So! I haven't updated you on the latest in "LB:LT", have I? I'm introducing a new character (and afterward a new item) in the series!
Yes, you again read the title right; Timber is a Scottish wolf, and the last one in existence at that. (As you might know, they were planning on reintroducing wolves to Britain after they became extinct, but that hasn't happened as far as I know...)
No one was really aware of Timber existence; those who did panicked and tried to kill him, but he escaped every time. One day, however, he awakens in a completely different environment; Time City of Evagren. After he is nearly dragged away and executed by castle guards, who have orders (mentally from Lord Shadowfang) to kill every talking beast that comes into the city, Lirin and Lilli come across him and Lilli recklessly claims that the "dog" is hers and that her just ate a fairy, explaining why he could talk.
She convinces the guards to give Timber up to her, and then they leave. After Lirin and Lilli speak with the wolf and learn where he's from, it's quite perplexing; Timber only gained the ability of speech upon arriving in this world, but how did he get here in the first place?
It is later confirmed that it was a glitch in the boundaries of time and space in the brief clash between Takuna and Lord Shadowfang, and Timber ended up in Evagren on the morning of Lirin's awakening.
Takuna also later tells Timber that it was a coincidence that he was needed in this world anyway in order to aid Lirin in his quest, so Timber agrees to stick with him, since he could find a way back in the meantime, after all.
Although later he realizes that he really doesn't want to go back, and he remains accompanying Lirin's party throughout pretty much the rest of the series.

Timber has a calm and resolute attitude, although he has a fierce and angry side when times call for it. He also has a rather refined manner of speech, not to mention a Scottish accent that still remains, of course, but because he gained the ability of speech, he can tend to talk to much and say some embarrassing things that seem normally to him since he's a wolf...
Timber is just a regular looking wolf; medium and light, tan-colored coat with brown, gray and black speckles and splotches on it, and he has gold eyes. (He looks like the photo of a wolf that's on my other blog; the snarly one. XD)
That's Timber! He's been around since the first version of "The Land of Evagren". He was in the second attempt and is now in the third attempt!

Now, for the Golden Chronicle... it's an item that's been around since the first time around also, only it was called "The Book of Time" before, but I noticed there was already "Time City" and "The Tower of Time" already, and I didn't want to get too repetitive, so I changed the name.
The Golden Chronicle is simply put by Takuna, "...a tangible manifestation of the power of Time Travel, or perhaps a very, very long history book recording every important era and event in our past and present, and it will record a new chapter every time a crucial event takes place in our timeline. It also allows one to use its power to move between these time periods."
He also added that it would not only help Lirin catch Lord Shadowfang, but it would make it much easier to find the lost blade that would defeat the beast.
The Golden Chronicle is quite an important item in this story.

In this story, Lirin had asked for Lenora's aid in the plan to stop Lord Shadowfang, although he did not want to since he doesn't like her very much at all, but he had no choice since she was the only one who was connected to the enemy's power besides him.
The plan was eventually laid out by Lirin, Lenora, and Takuna; Takuna would work with Lenora, combining both their powers to dig through time while having the ability to track Lord Shadowfang and his whereabouts. When he is located, it is up to Lenora to be transported to the time period where Lord Shadowfang is and trick him into thinking she's aiding him in his evil plots, while she's actually slipping all his information to Takuna and Lirin discreetly and giving them the upper hand instead.
And when the time comes, Lirin must be in possession of the lost blade and he must go in for the kill and defeat Lord Shadowfang once and for all!

That's the plan, at least. Who knows how well it will go for them...
Well, that's all for now! I probably won't be revealing too much more of the storyline for now, just a little when I go to introduce new characters.

NaNoWriMo Novel: Midori the Green Wolf

........What are you thinking about right now? You've just seen the title of this post. Somethin' about a green wolf called Midori...
WELL! That's the name of my novel! As the title suggests, it's about a green wolf. His name is Midori (I'm aware this is a girl's name, yes. XD), and that's the Japanese word for green. By the way, this novel IS set in Japan, or a different version of it.
The gist of it is, there's an evil fog engulfing the beautiful land, and when Midori is born to a regular pack of wolves in the clan of the Yama Inu Forest, (which lies at the base of the Ookami Mountains) his parents are quite perplexed, but do not abandon him.
Six months later, he's out playing by himself, when suddenly, a band of warrior wolves from the Yami Plain invade the forest, apparently targeting him. After his father protects him, he is forced to flee from the forest as fast as his legs can carry him.
However, the dark fog has already spread to the central Nippon Field, and after witnessing the sun shattering into thousands of pieces, he accidentally gets caught up in it, passing out.
A little, flying, sprite-pixie thing (or a fairy) named Taiyou finds him there a after nearly a year, and he is strangely not frozen like the other creatures caught up in it. She manages to wake him up and pull him (with difficulty) out of the fog, and explains to him that something has happened to the sun goddess, Amaterasu, whom she was a messenger of, previously.
Midori is informed that he was blessed by the goddess's power and was able to withstand the force of the cursed fog all this time, and Taiyou tells him that he's the one she was told to seek, and that he is responsible for dispelling this horrible fog.
Together they return to the Yama Inu Forest, where the Temple of Yuki sits, guarded by Midori's grandfather, Isamu. But instead of finding the guardian, they instead stumble upon a phony priestess to reveals herself to actually be a terrible nine-tailed fox, which they must defeat.
With difficulty, they manage, and then all of a sudden, a kagami (mirror) known as the Golden Power of Takamagahara appears and comes to Midori, accepting him as its wielder and allowing him to use its godly power to smite evil.
Taiyou explains that it can be both a weapon and a shield, and she tells them that there are two other pieces of it he needs to get before he can fully master its power.
The sun returns to this area and pierces the darkness, breaking the evil fog away from this one area, and Isamu returns. He is shocked to see him again and tells him that he should check on the others in the pack, while he attends to making sure the gods are all right, or something like that.
Midori does as told, and he finds that his mother is quite ill. Before she passes out, she says that Midori's two siblings were taken by the Warriors of the Yami Plain, and she begs him to find them. He agrees, then takes her to her father (Isamu) and leaves her in his care as he sets off.
The rest of the story continues with him meeting new people and animals alike, dispelling the fog, and so on. It's quite an epic adventure, indeed!

And I admit it is greatly inspired by Okami, the video game by Capcom. But only a few aspects, I suppose; there's no Okami Amaterasu, celestial brush, or any obnoxious, perverted Poncle named Issun!!! Man, I can't stand that guy... I was hoping that Ammy would eat him already, but then I'd get utterly lost in the game. -_-
But anyway! Did you know that a lot of the game is actually inspired by Japanese fairytales and the Shinto religion's mythology? Amaterasu, Yamata no Orochi, Susano-o... and same goes for the mirror, rosary and glaive; all three of those divine items were offered to Amaterasu to try and coax her out of the cave that she had retreated to when her brother, Susano-o, had disrespected her terribly (and was thus cast from Takamagahara, A.K.A the High Plain of the Heavens, or something to that extent). After hiding there, she hid the sun as well, and that was a big problem...
Susano-o had to defeat the maiden-devouring Yamata no Orochi in order to make it up to Amaterasu, I think, but I don't really remember the details. XD
I don't believe in myths, though, they're just interesting to read about: especially Greek myths!

So, that said, I suppose that "Midori the Green Wolf" is inspired by Shinto mythology, and a little bit of Okami itself. I learned most of it from Okami first, after all. XD

And THAT, my friend, is my NaNoWriMo novel! "Midori the Green Wolf". After I finish it, I will hopefully meet my word count goal and win NaNoWriMo, and claim my free code for CreateSpace! I'll get my own free copy of my book and sell my novel on Amazon, too, and like I said on my other blog, I plan to paint the cover image of my novel. It'll be great!!

Until next time! I'll keep you updated on the latest!

LB:LT: Lilli Bahonan (and more about the storyline)

Yes, you read that right. Lilli BAHONAN. We're introducing a new character!
Lilli is but a seven-year-old girl living in the commoner's district in Time City. At the beginning of the story, Lirin awakens in the same house as her, and he's covered in old scars and fresh wounds, but he doesn't really notice.
Lirin can't remember his own name or what had happened to him [in the previous book], but with Lilli's help, he remembers it all. But what happened after all that?
But when Lilli calls him "father" he is alerted. He asks he is that was a slip of the tongue, but she only gets depressed when she realized he doesn't recognize her.
There's a lot of going back-and-forth and a lot of puzzlement over her and who her mother is. Lirin does admit that this young girl resembles him closely, but the name of her mother, Ellenore, doesn't ring a bell to him at all.
It wouldn't for to you, either. She's not in the previous book, anyway.
Yet the young girl insists she's his daughter, and when Lirin realizes that it's been eight years [since the last book], he knows he most definitely wasn't unconscious. But he has no recollection of what happened.
What did happen? You're probably very confused...
After leaving the city, Lirin meets Takuna outside, and Takuna explains to him that this was no accident; after he prevented Lord Shadowfang from killing Lirin, the beast of Rage possessed Lirin's body and fled, leaving Takuna with no choice but to give up for now. He couldn't exorcise the spirit lest he harm Lirin, and Lord Shadowfang had become far too strong, anyway, with all the Rage that he had gained upon entering the vessel.
He fled and hid away, and in the following eight years, followed through with his plans. On the eighth year, however, Takuna was able to kick him out of the body with his built-up power, awakening Lirin's real spirit and therefore awakening his true conscience and spirit.
In short, Lord Shadowfang had taken over Lirin's body and was using him for eight years, but Lirin didn't recall anything Lord Shadowfang had made him do because his own spirit was dormant.
In that time, Lilli came about, and Lord Shadowfang seemed to have plans for her in his evil plot to take over Evagren and kill Lirin, but then he nearly got completely exorcised by Takuna and fled the body (as a vulnerable spirit) to a different time period, because he had stolen some of Takuna's power previously.
Takuna finishes by telling Lirin that Lilli is to light the way for him, because she, too, holds some of Takuna's power, but has yet to fully realize it. Lirin must guard Lilli with his life and both he and Takuna must seek clues on Lord Shadowfang's whereabouts... and they both feel as if the crisis may extend beyond Evagren itself, not to mention the present time. Lord Shadowfang could corrupt a lot of things by going back in history....

So, that's a mixture of both the details of the storyline and about Lilli herself. Before I close for the day, I'll say a few more things about her:
Lilli knows a lot about what had happened that Lirin doesn't, since she wasn't the one with the absent spirit.
Neither of them know where Ellenore is, and when Lilli mentions something about not seeing her since an "incident", Lirin asks her what happened, but she doesn't seem to want to talk about it...

That about wraps things up for now! Until next time!

Lirin Bahonan: Legends of Tanakosk

I was thinking the other day; what's the purpose of waiting on my novel and doing nothing while I wait for the opportunity to tackle it an edit/revise it? I realized I had already developed my NaNoWriMo novel quite well (it's still lacking in some details, though), and there was nothing I could really do for some time. I was stumped, to say the least!
So, what am I doing right now? Nothing, until recently, when a couple of days ago, I started writing "Lirin Bahonan: Legends of Tanakosk" (A.K.A. "LB:LT") anyway! Why should I sit around and do nothing when I could easily just WRITE the second novel while I waited on the first?! There aren't any rules that say I can't, right?
So, yeah, that's what I'm doing right now. This novel has an odd and twisted-up plot, involving warped time, time travel, five royal wolves, a lot of confusion and mystery, a very layered storyline, and lastly, a flighty spirit. I mean that quite literally; Lord Shadowfang's spirit is flying around from time period to time period, and he's possessing people and animals alike while at it! Yeah, it's a little creepy, all right. He's a slippery, spectral rat!

I haven't gotten very far at all; it's only about 4,187 words. I've introduced two new characters, which I will post about later.

It's Finished!

"Lirin Bahonan: Rising Rage" is finished! It's 72,905 words right now, and all that's left to do is to edit and revise it and I can move on to the next book in the series, "Lirin Bahonan: Legends of Tanakosk"!
Stay tuned and I'll keep you updated with the latest in editing and revising so you can see what I changed and what I will change, and how far I've gotten. I'm planning on abandoning the manuscript until after NaNoWriMo, or until after I've finished editing and revising my NaNoWriMo novel itself. We'll see.
Later on, I'll also tell you more about this second book, but I won't begin writing it for awhile.

...Whew. Want to know why I didn't tell you anything that happened after the Ghost Ship? Well, it's ultimate spoilers. ULTIMATE. Trust me.

LB:RR: A Bit of History (The People Between Light and Darkness)

Well, as I promised, I'm going to give you a history lesson! This is about the People Between Light and Darkness, otherwise known as the People of the Gray.
I'll also tell you about the beginning of the world, in Evagren's general area.

Starting off, Planet Crichianadiie was first formed and created by 15 of the Ancients: Time and Light, Life, Space, Color, Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, Electricity, and, when humanoids and animals walked the planet, Emotion, Wisdom and Knowledge, Willpower, Love, Peace, and Strength/Power.
But then rose Raxron, the being of Darkness and Death. With him came four others, the embodiments of Monochrome and Ambivalence, Weakness and Ignorance, Hate, and Chaos.
When Raxron became consumed and obsessed with the evil that resided in the hearts of men, he and his four fellow Ancients began to wage an all-out war against all of the goodhearted.

It was then that Takuna (Ancient of Time and Light) instructed that Chellanarnon (Ancient of Life) would create three different beings, two of which were immortal. They were human.
However, Raxron realized what Takuna's intentions for these humans were; to seal him away. He confronted him face-to-face and has his dark powers over these humans, but alas for him, only one and a half were effected.
An immortal being turned to the dark side, while the mortal one remained with the light. However, the second immortal being became caught between Light and Darkness, thus marking the beginning of the People of the Gray.
The one who took to the dark side was a woman named Lenora Midnight. She went along her own way and picked up magic, eventually becoming a skilled witch, and soon to create the Mask.
The one who took to the light side was a man named Lyrune Bahonan. He eventually became the one who sealed away the Lord Shadowfang (on his first attack). Takuna, in that time, had managed to seal Raxron away in the Rift, too. Lyrune Bahonan is, obviously, Lirin's first ancestor.

But the man between light and darkness lacked a name.

Since that day, the People of the Gray were created by dark and light magic combined, in large numbers, and these people were to take no side; they were bound by countless laws which forbade them from ever loving another, befriending another, expressing any kind of positive or emotion, or sorrow, and other things of the sort.
The people between would serve either side deceitfully; they only did so to serve themselves, and that was their way.
Should one of these people defy any of these laws, they would be punished with death. Throughout the years, more and more defiant people faded from existence, and with them, so did the entire clan of People of the Gray.
However, some even began to be claimed by both the light and dark sides, freeing them from their binds, but it was very difficult to slip past the eyes of the law... so very few could make it.
Those who did, however, would receive a name, as they all lacked one before.

The first of them all remained, however, among very few who did. In his time, he had received a name (Bain) without even taking a side, and he received it from...
Hold it, not telling! You'll find out later in the series.

Anyway, Bain has been around since nearly the beginning of planet Crichianadiie, so he knows practially everything including a lot about the Ghost Ship that appeared later after Lord Shadowfang's first defeat. He wanders the world and observes, going unnoticed as he does.
After he made an attempt to defy the law, however, that was when he was caught and punished. He was transformed into a hideous Riksha wolf and sent to an ancient prison in Tanakosk, where the worst criminals went to be devoured by a horrible, insect-like beast called Ahnkyraq.
Bain escaped, however, and slipped away to the cold, unforgiving Dragon Mountains of Laghathia. He lived there for many years, until Lenora called him to aid her in giving Lirin Bahonan the Mask.
Bain saw this as some kind opportunity, so he assisted Lirin in his journey to seem like he was just helping him for some reason, but Lirin did not know what his true intentions were...

...And that's just some rough history. If you have questions, ask!

LB:RR: The Ghost Ship

Indeed.
I backtracked in my novel and deleted several scenes in order to keep going at a flowing pace. I removed all scenes up to the point where they reached the west, and instead of looking for the second rock right away, they set up camp because they were clearly quite exhausted.
However, the following morning brings great misfortune. Lord Shadowfang makes a new appearance and attacks Lirin and his friends, but my, our hero makes a fine display of foolish resistance.
Lirin manages to manipulate all of Lord Shadowfang's assailing spheres of evil energy, tossing them to and fro, and when Shadowfang tires from this, he attacks Lirin with his claws instead.
Lirin doesn't give up here. He lunges at the enemy, summoning all of the Mask's power he can muster, thus slipping right through Lord Shadowfang's dark veil. After ripping away several of the beast's scales, he discovered and old wound underneath that resembles a strange mark, before he is thrown out of the barrier and onto the ground.
Enraged and seething, Lord Shadowfang leaves Lirin with haunting remark, telling him that his days are numbered, for he, Lord Shadowfang, shall let the land become rent asunder under his own brutal power.
Lirin soon becomes miserable. Time and time again, he had been warned of the horrible effects of using too much of the Mask's power, and since he did so, grief and anger rules him over...

However, it isn't long before his friends encourage him to rise again. When he does, they agree on splitting up temporarily to find the Lost Rocks in two groups.
As Anastasia, Kikki and Leaf all head to the northwest to find the second rock, Lirin heads off by himself (and his horse, newly-dubbed Elana) to locate the third rock.
After discovering countless monsters in the field, Lirin realizes he can't just race through and avoid them, but Bain appears and lends him a hand, and the two of them fight their way through the field and soon reach a seaside town, which was where Prakon had dropped him off after he escaped from Lukamakari's island years ago.
Lirin has to rub charcoal all over Bain in order to hide the wolf's strange, white swirls. Bain, much to his annoyance, must pose as Lirin's silent dog as well, but they contact each other between telepathy, made possible by the Mask's power.
Lirin discovers that a legend speaks of a ghost ship that carries the Rock of Lost Water on board, and it only appears on the night of a new moon.
To both of their surprise, they realize that tonight is night, but of all places, would it appear here in the Sea of Prakon? What are the chances?
The ship does arrive after they wait long into the night, and Bain recalls the reason behind it, and here I quote:

"There was one thing I had just been reminded about the Ghost Ship; as long as the Rock of Lost Water is aboard it, it will sail in the direction of the one who wields the Mask, or any power connected to the rock. I recall hearing that the sailors who had sought the Rock of Lost Water had gotten a hold of it, but as they returned home, the rock began to kill them one by one. Soon, there were so many angry, tainted spirits on board that the ship itself became cursed and like a ghost itself. The ship now seeks to destroy everything and everyone related to the rock to avenge its deceased passengers, which explains why it did come tonight... they want to kill you, Lirin, because they think you are partially responsible, but if we can take the rock from the ship, the ghosts may be able to depart to the afterlife... ah, this will be a bit difficult, as we cannot see them."

Creepy, huh? They have get on that ship and find that rock without getting killed by ghosts, because these ghosts definitely have the ability to kill...

If you're wondering why Bain knows so much about this, let's just say he's been around for nearly forever. I will give you some "world history" about that later on, yes?

Hmm, what to do...

What should I write for NaNoWriMo? Sure, it's about five months away or so, but still, I'm clueless...
I think I'll finally write "The Dawnwolf", but it needs more development in order to move along smoothly. Five months is a fair amount of time for that (maybe too long, even!), so I think I'll get to work on that sometime soon... maybe when I finish writing "LB:RR"'s first draft, which will actually be kind of soon! Kind of...
So, yeah, it's never a bad idea to start planning early.
I also heard of Camp NaNoWriMo, but I don't plan on doing it... not this year, that is. Maybe next year!

I just want a fresh idea, you know? Maybe one will come to me soon....
In the meantime, I'll be working on my other novels! I have to important first drafts I need to finish ("E: ROD" and "LB:RR") and edit, but I'm setting my sights on only one for now.

Nothing new today, but I'll tell you what; keep in touch, man. Something big is bound to come up sooner than later.

Whoa.

Dizzy yet? I'm currently messing around with my blog's settings and design, so this current one (of Takuna and Raxron) will probably be temporary. XD
I'm thinking I'll likely do a "Lirin Bahonan: Rising Rage"-themed one, since it's my current project.
Speaking of which, I overcame a writers block and the story's flowing nicely, now.
That's all, though.

LB:RR: AHA!

AHA! I'VE GOT IT!!
*cough*
Too much enthusiasm. Actually, I "got it" a few days ago, in fact.
Got what? Well, what, aren't you telepathic? Can't you already tell what I'm going to say?
Enough of that. I won't say much for now, but I think that Lirin's background story might be changing again...
This will change only a little bit in the series, like different references, different events, etc.. This will also allow me to get rid of the vast amount of time I kept passing to get to the point.
These changes will mainly effect the first novel, "Rising Rage", since the beginning of the story will be vastly different. I'm thinking of making him be in his mid-to-late teens instead of a little kid, or a swordsman working for the castle or military or something instead of a forest-dwelling simpleton... I wont make these changes until I finish the first draft, though.

Yeah, the difference will make it better depending on what I settle for... We'll see!
...Actually, I think I pretty much told you everything. Oh, well... BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?
I didn't tell you about my new ideas for the books 4 and 5! HA! Too bad; you'll have to wait.

With that, I am off!

LB:RR: Latest Updates; the Power of Rage

Hello folks, it's me again after my such-and-such-amount-of-days absence. It was probably less than a week, though...

Anyway, I have no idea what I last told you about in "LB:RR", so let me give you a basic update:
After meeting his brother and training in the way of the sword, Lirin eventually left six years later and returned to Evagren, having a couple of unsettling incidents with Harthun, before he meets Anastasia, and eventually, his mother's spirit.
She tells him how to break Lord Shadowfang's barrier; to gather the Lost Rocks of cursed elemental powers, hidden among specific areas that do not belong in Evagren. She tells him he must gather them in correct order, then return to the barrier that blocks Lirin from entering Lord Shadowfang's realm.
He soon sets off to find the first rock, and is persuaded into bringing Anastasia along, who is only eight and he doesn't think bringing her is a very good idea, but both she and his mother insist, so she end up coming along anyway. The main reason, aside from Anastasia wanting to see the world and learn from experiences, as well as witness what Lirin has to go through, will become clearer in later time.
Bain soon warns Lirin, like Terra had said, that the Lost Rocks are imbued with the horrible energy known as Rage, which Lord Shadowfang is the embodiment of.
Rage is also what powers the Mask, and this energy is known to taint the light and empower the evil, and have no side effects for those between light and darkness, like Bain himself.
Not only will carrying these rocks around eventually make people in general of a very dark and sinister-mind before long, but the fact that Lirin's Mask is closely connected to Lord Shadowfang and the power of Rage itself will make the effects swifter and fer more powerful, so he must hurry.
After retrieving the Rock of Lost Fire from the Raging Mountain of Flames (or whatever its called; everyone in the book keeps messing up its name), he's soon blown right out of the volcano (he was protected by a large rock when he was blown out) and whacks his head on a rock during the fall, passing out.
He's rescued by Takuna and comes to, and Takuna gives him another prophesy before he leaves:

"I see it! 'An imprisoned, swift-footed beauty who will take you far and wide, and in order to gain her trust, you must see, feel and hear her, and she must... smell you'. That was fairly obvious to me yet strange-sounding to you, Lirin, but the obvious is not always obvious to obvious people like you. See if you can figure all of that out. Until next time, young lupine hero!"

Takuna may seem like a noble, 100% serious deity, but he's not. He's about 75% serious most of the time, and sure, he's noble, but he's an Ancient; not a deity. There's a difference. XP

When Takuna tells Lirin that his friends are in the hands of captivity as well, he leaves. Lirin sets off back to Greenwood, delivers the latest news to his mother, before he tracks down Harthun and returns to human form, since Harthun has only seen him in wolf form.
After a series of ridiculous events among the drunken men, all of the men decide to try and wrangle the horse that Harthun captured, which doesn't go well, until Lirin does another method of taming; with caution, care, a gentle touch, food, and of course, Lukamakari's scent.
This is relating to Takuna's prophesy.
The following day, when Harthun decides he's going to display Anastasia and Kikki before he kills them and sells their hair and skin and the like, Lirin has to step in, since he was invited to the event, after all.
He frees the horse and tells the hunters that she escaped, so they all fall for it and flood outside, and that's when Lirin saves Anastasia and Kikki and flees.
The hunters notice and shoot at him, but he eventually escapes when the horse comes to aid him.

Currently, after another encounter with Bain, who tells him that Lenora wishes to speak to him, Lirin sends Kikki, Anastasia and Leaf to go look for the second Lost Rock while he heeds Lenora's request... with disdain.

That's about where I left off. I don't even know why I'm telling you about the novel when you just have to read it yourself, but whatever. XD
I've been busy improving my writing skills, as well as handwriting, and brainstorming with a friend who needs help with her novel so that she can finish it up and send it out into the world.
We talked for hours the other day and overcame many writer's blocks... but it was all her, really. I was only partial!
So... let me know if you need help, too. Even if you're an official, already-publishing writer, I might be able to help SOMEHOW... without a fee, of course!

So, that's that!

General Update

I've been switching between novels a lot... I don't think that's really normal for a writer, but whatever. We're all unique, right? :P
I was writing a little in "LB:RR" today, but I decided I'd write later since I didn't feel like getting to a point in the journey (to find the first Lost Rock) where it was nighttime, when Bain would show back up after these six years of absence. Sure, fillers are boring to both writer and reader alike, but there's gotta be something in between before a big BOOM.
I haven't done much of anything with the "Feng Song" rewrite and "The Primal Red". I need to put a real good kick into both of them to keep both myself and readers interested, like some serious plot twists, for an example.
"The Primal Red" needs more character developments, while "Feng Song" just needs a good plot that lasts awhile. There's gotta be an epic feel, you know?

Anyway, my main sights have been set back to "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria". I'm going to start alternating between this and "LB:RR" for now.
If you're wondering what I've been writing all this time, well, I've been practicing my writing skills, so to speak. I needed a boost. XD

Oh, yeah, and I've been typing up a list of every character I ever made up. It's about 230 so far... And I'm not counting random guards, servants/maids, passersby, very-much side characters, or anything like that, either!

OK, on that note, I'm off.

A Request for Support!

Don't worry, it's nothing bad at all:
A very, very good friend of mine is selling her novel on Amazon.com (and also CreateSpace.com)!
It's called "Sangre: The Phantom's Lair". The summary and information about the author should also be on this page and you can also buy it here: http://www.amazon.com/Sangre-Phantoms-Phantom-Caribbean-forever/dp/146117368X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1308502422&sr=1-1

If you like to read about pirates, then this is undoubtedly a good book for you. I'd like for you to support my friend by buying it (and rating/giving it a review, too) if you can, and also telling other people about it who might like it as well.
This would mean a lot to the both of us and her family, too, so thank you!

LB:RR (Re-Write): Leaf the Dragon

When a large, common green dragon swoops down and snatches Anastasia right off the ground in Greenwood Forest, it's up to Lirin to save her!
Sounds like the summary of a really cheesy fairytale, right? Well, let me tell you; Lirin's no prince in gleaming armour riding a white stallion, and Anastasia is currently only eight!
But, yes, a dragon does snag Anastasia, and long story short, Lirin gives chase alongside Kikki, who's mad at him for accidentally leaving her behind twice and said he "kept" doing it, and after the dragon crashes into some trees when not paying attention, Lirin boldly approaches it and makes some kind of taming connection with it due to the faint, lingering scent of Queen Lukamakari on him, which the Spirit of Greenwood forest soon explains to have the ability to tame almost all creatures within the limits of Evagren, but, of course, not just by passing by them.

Lirin hands the dragon over to Anastasia and tells her that she should train it and make it her "bodyguard", so to speak, as the protective confines of the forest could be broken, allowing evil inside, and the spirit who protects it agrees.
Anastasia is shocked, but sees that the dragon doesn't have any plans to try and eat her, so she hastily gives it a name upon it's request, and the first thing that pops into her head is "Leaf".
The dragon grumbles that it's better than nothing, and Kikki says:

"Ha, 'better than nothing', my paw! It could have been way worse had the naming been my honor, ya big green bumble-butt!"

Needless to say, Kikki is rather rude and immature for a great and honorable Ancient...
So, we're only introducing the dragon, Leaf. He plays a vital role as Anastasia's bodyguard, and also helps Lirin several times throughout the series, but overall, he is a pretty minor character, but not pointless.
Also, after Anastasia gives the dragon a name, he gives her a horn (the kind you blow) that will summon him wherever she is, then he departs later on.
Now that Leaf has been introduced, there isn't a whole lot more to do in the Greenwood Forest, so Lirin will soon set off to gather the horrible rocks to break the barrier on Lord Shadowfang's realm.
This is also where the story kicks in quite a bit, and more character development blooms as well, since Anastasia insists on accompanying Lirin.
Great. Now you have two annoying female companions, Lirin. -_-

LB:RR (Re-Write): Kikki, the Ancient of Emotion & Anastasia Highland

I remembered that I had completely forgotten to introduce Kikki. Whoops, the poor girl kept slipping my mind....
Kikki is an Ancient, an embodiment of Emotion, like Takuna is of Time and Light. Kikki's real name is Kikkean, but she hates it and will blow up at you if you don't call her Kikki.
Kikki resembles that of fox and squirrel combined, and measures around two-and-a-half feet tall, from head to foot, as she prefers to walk on two legs, although it's rare because she's always hovering and floating about so there's no need to walk.
She is surrounded by a marroon-colored aura that seems to serve little purpose, but it occasionally changes colors in different displays of emotions.
Kikki is Lirin's first companion in his journey, and she is highly obnoxious and short-tempered! And I keep forgetting about her and leaving her behind, so I need to work on that!

Anastasia Highland!
I made up Anastasia before Lirin became main. In fact, in the original version of their story, she was the main character, and booooooooooooy she had a bad temper. Her story has changed drastically since then, so let's move on to the present, because the old version would only make sense to those who understood. XD

She's a pale-skinned, petite, yellow-haired Evaran/Tannish half-elf, and when her home land, the Parasha Woods, was transported to Evagren for mysterious reasons, that's when her mother met her father and soon she was born. Her mother was a Tannish elf, and her father was an Evaran human.
Anastasia, however, at a young age, was sent from the woods to escape to Greenwood Forest, a place protected by a spirit who banned all evil entry. She lived there until age eight, when she met Lirin, wounded by the crazy hunter, Harthun, and his horrid rifle. Yes, those three were original characters since the beginning. Strangely makes me feel nostalgic.
Carrying on, Anastasia becomes one of Lirin's new companions and accompanies him throughout most the rest of the series, though the are separated time and time again. She's one of his closest friends, but oddly enough, neither has 'feelings' for one another, which would actually be insanely creepy on Lirin's part, as there is a rather large age gap...
But that aside, these two are very crucial characters in this series! Now introduced, that just about wraps things up for now.

Wolf

Hey, been awhile!

It's been quite a while since I last posted... the reason? There's nothing really new going on... but why am I posting now? Because that was before, and I have something to say now.

I might not seem like it, but I admit I'm pretty good at helping people with their novels. Editing, tips, critique, etc.
I've been assisting this person with their novel for some time now.
We both want to make the story better, so I've been critiquing and pointing out things and making suggestions as we go along, while still encouraging them at the same time so they don't think their novel is awful or anything like that, because, personally, I did like it, although it was only the first draft!
Now, after sorting out a too-many-characters problem, we're sorting out a new one; how to make the novel more suspenseful. I've given them some basic ideas, but I'm mulling it over still to find more. I also scan the internet for good articles, too.
So, what about you? Need help? I'm not a complete expert, but here are some things you'll expect, but some of them require me seeing the manuscript:
Tips (for pretty much anything)
Point-outs and suggestions
POLITE critique
Editing help
Revision help
Character development
Dialogue
And likely more!
I'll also help you get "unstuck" from "writers block", and I can encourage you (how)to keep moving on.
Feel free to comment here if you need help, or contact me a maryw.hills@yahoo.com. I may not be official, but I can be of some assistance, I'm sure, and I'm perfectly willing!
So, ask me anytime, and let me know if you have a deadline, too.

LB:RR (Re-Write): The Great Ancient Takuna, Embodiment of Time and Light

Quite a long title, if I do say so myself. Unless it's a flowery priest, people normally only call him '[The] Great Takuna' or just 'Takuna'.
You know him, right? C'mon, he's got his own story, and he's in nearly all of my novels!
Well, you just might not know what he looks like; I'll describe him to you, then:
Takuna resembles a very, very big white dog or wolf, with the wings and forelegs of an eagle (you know what I mean), and the horns and eyes of a dragon.
Takuna's eyes, horns, wings and talons are all a rich gold color, and his nose is gold, too! But did you know??? His bones are gold, thus meaning his teeth are gold, too!
Takuna has a long tuft of fur at his chin, too, resembling something like a beard. He has a very noble look to him altogether, but, um, he can be a little odd at times.
As you might later notice upon reading some of my novels (one day), Takuna admits in "LB:RR" (Lirin Bahonan: Rising Rage):
"I have an odd habit of throwing suitable clothes at unfashionable heroes before I leave them to their destiny; it is the least I can do, believe me, quite literally the least..."
Yeah, he's thrown clothes at Almanzo, too, and likely some heroes before him. While Almanzo's are a dark burgundy red, Lirin's turn out to be a deep, ultramarine blue.
Takuna, while he may be one of the 'awesome creators of the planet Crichianadiie", it is true he didn't do it alone, but alongside some other great beings as well.

Takuna is noble, kind, mighty, blah-blah-blah, but he has some odd characteristics, things he says, humor, etc., and he acts incredibly weird at times...

In "LB:RR", Takuna plays an even more vital part in the story than in "E:RD" (ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria).
Not only does he give Lirin some new clothes, which is pretty important, but his dwelling sits right inside the very land the novel is set in, Evagren! Takuna assists Lirin often as they bump into each other, informing him of foreseen events to give him hints as to what to do, like for an example:
"I foresee a stunning journey skyward on your own gray wings and it is filled with shocking events!"
They don't make sense at first, but in later time, they do. Takuna does a little more to help, too, especially in later books, but telling you would be spoilers... Heehee.

LB:RR (Re-Write): Lady Lenora Midnight, Creator of the Mask

Yes, precious Lady Lenora Midnight is quite a handful in the novel. Throughout the entire series, she is constantly harassing Lirin, either that, or she's discreetly flirting. She's a real creep, and she knows it.
After Bain tells Lirin that in order to save the land from his own (Lirin's own, that is) destruction, he has to make a pact with Lenora.
However, it's not quite an ideal pact. Lenora, after Lirin goes and finds her, she transports both of them to her tower, where she performs a painful spell on him, slashing up his forehead so that is bears some kind of strange mark.
It is soon that Lirin receives the curse of her latest creation... THE MASK! (Echo that twice more, fading out after the first for emphasis!)
What is the Mask, you ask?
The Mask is the dreadful creation of Lenora's, it is a 'curse' to the light and a 'blessing' to the dark. This nasty thing doesn't seem all to bad; I mean, no matter which side you take, the thing allows you to transform into a different form entirely, and it also allows telepathy and tele-transportation! Among other things; that is only a taste of what the Mask can do.
The Mask's cons? None to the dark, but it's power to the beings of light are that you must use it carefully and wisely without free will, as every time you do, it drains your own life and allows Lord Shadowfang himself to grown stronger!
...That is, for Lirin. If Lord Shadowfang is defeated, Lenora will take over, and she is eternal, so toooo bad if you wanna get rid of her. Bain is, if for some odd reason Lenora is taken down, the third-in-command for the Mask's connective power, as it needs a reliable source, after all.
Why is it called the Mask? Well, if you're in an animal form using it's power, it actually shows up on your forehead and makes you kind of look kind of like you're wearing a Mask.
It looks something like this:
For Lirin, in his wolf form, his eyes are under the two... Things on either side of it, making them look like angry eyebrows,  and his nose is probably a little further down below the teardrop shape.
In the Mask's transforming ability, the creature you take the form of is always back and white, where the only color is your eye color.
The purpose of taking another form is for limited disguise, new abilities, etc.. It comes in handy sometimes, but like I said before, it's to be used wisely.

Back to Lenora, if you're wondering what she looks like, well, I'll tell you:
She is tall, and resembles an ageless woman, normally wearing long black dresses and gloves. He skin is literally white, and her hair is a vibrant orange, about below-bust-length.
Her eyes are the color of orange topaz, and her eyelids are outlined in black, pointed at the end. Her lips are also black, but no one knows if it's makeup or not since they haven't seen her without it.
Despite the fact her hair is orange, her eyebrows are thin, somewhat arched and black.
Lenora has a rather sinister appearance, definitely, and quite a personality to match it.
Another thing you should know about Lenora is she is neither a being of light nor darkness, but caught in between. Like gray, as oppose to black and white.
Bain is the same. While it seems as if the two support both Lord Shadowfang and Lirin Bahonan, in truth, they are only doing it for themselves, and are very vague about how it does help them. Bain makes this clear to Lirin at some point early in the first novel.

...So, that's probably pretty much all you need to know for now. See you!

LB:RR (Re-Write): Lukamakari, Queen and Guardian of Evagren

Or dear Lukamakari is not only the great Queen and Guardian of Evagren, but she is like a step-mother to Lirin when he shows up on her island as a wolf, with a bloody, scarred face and a lost mind.
Lukamakari takes to him at once when she hears both his first and last name, as she knows he is the direct descendant of Lyrun Bahonan, the land's previous hero two thousand years ago, whom she was quite close with since he was the only one who could tame her. She also tells Lirin a whole bunch of stuff after that, but that would probably be spoilers.
Lukamakari is obviously not human; no one knows what she is, other than Lukamakari, a Guardian. She resembles that of a lioness or panther, a plant, a reptile, and possibly a dog, all mixed together. She's green, with two long antennas coming from the back of her head, with pink flowers at the end, thinner than, but identical to, her two tails.
She has red and orange fins on her back, shoulders, hips and below ears. In fact, the ones below her ears ARE ears! They hide a pair of holes behind them, and above them are her pointed, leaf-like ears that are shaped like a wolf's almost. In short, she has two pairs of ears, and no one really knows why.
Her eyes are green, and have pink-and-black markings around them. Another thing you should know is that Lukamakari is VERY muscular, and VERY fast. Her teeth are also so long that her lips can't completely cover them, so, often, when she licks the moisture back into them, her lower canines get hooked onto her lover lip, and it's really funny. Lukamakari also has a fatally venomous bite and can blind you with the pollen stored in the flowers on her tails and antennas.
Lukamakari is a rather intriguing creature and has an unusual speaking-style, where 'you' is 'ye' and 'the' is 'da', 'that' is 'dat', and so on. Here's an unusual quote of hers for an example:
"Ye would live longer if ye'd look b'fore ye ate..."
...That's her talking to Lirin. She cleans up the beach after hurricanes by eating all of the rubbage lying about and hocking up up somewhere else as mush. She wanted Lirin to help her, but Lirin ate one bitter leaf and immediately spat it back up, and that was where the quote came in.

So, that's Lukamakari. She appears more in the story later on after he leaves the island, too...

LB:RR (Re-Write): Bain, the Bane of Lirin's Existence

Sorry for the lame pun. XP
Yes, you might remember that I'm rewriting the "Lirin Bahonan" series yet again, properly, this time, since Lirin has finally stopped dancing around and changing his past. Alongside "Feng Song", too, which I haven't done much with yet aside from the introduction and beginning of chapter one.

Today, our featured character is Bain!
Bain is rather grumpy and aloof, and very rarely shows any kind of emotion, and if he does, it's likely anger.
Bain is also a Riksha wolf, a type of wolf who's appearance consists of a black coat with white swirling markings all over, and gray-blue eyes.
(Female Riksha wolves, on the other hand, are 'inverted', so to speak. They're white with black swirling markings and orange eyes! Way cooler. XD)
However, Bain wasn't-- Oh, darn, did I ever tell you before? It's spoilers-- I'll stop.
So, yes, where was I? Right! So, Bain is the grumpy, aloof, muscular Riksha wolf who shows up in Lirin's home village the morning after Spring's Celebration and is instantly pursued by several villagers, including Vallin, Lirin's brother, who are all armed with rifles.
When Arvun Rokok, Lirin's 'rival', to so speak, tells Lirin he's going to go looking for the wolf and kill it himself to be a 'hero', Lirin knows he can't stop him and decides to come along to keep an eye on him.
The two find the Riksha wolf in a large clearing, and he gives them a long-winded introduction, in short, introducing himself as Bain. He claims that he is here on behalf of "Lady Lenora Midnight"'s request so that Lirin is to be informed of a certain calamitous matter at hand.
It is then that Lirin is shown Evagren's future; bleak and withering and overcast with shadow, and Bain also claims that he is the cause, and the only way to prevent the disaster is either that he, Lirin, dies, or he makes a pact with Lady Lenora Midnight.
Lirin, after much hesitance and uncertainty, accepts to make a pact with Lenora. When Bain leaves, Vallin finds Lirin and gives him a talking to, and Lirin is pretty much grounded.
After slipping out of the house at midnight, however, Lirin meets Lenora. After a confusing exchange of words, the forest catches fire, and everyone is forced out.
It's soon that Lirin is taken in by Lenora and Bain, and befalls the horrific fate of wielding the Mask, the dreaded curse of Lord Shadowfang and Lady Lenora's dark magic...

...Also note that later on, in the third book, Bain attacks Lirin (and kills him) to steal the Mask back, for it turns out he originally wanted it for himself for some personal reason. Lirin, although he makes a grand return, is pretty P.O.'d about it since on one hand, technically he didn't want it and would have gladly just handed it over, but on the other hand, this causes another problem for him to solve, and he still needs it...
It was mostly Bain who dragged Lirin into a lot of disaster. Thus giving him the fake title: "Bain, the Bane of Lirin's Existence".
LOL. Lame pun. It just popped into my head...

After the frenzy... (Introducing Wendi)

Now that Script Frenzy is over for me, I'm moving on to some other things, now...

I'm introducing an almost-but-not-quite-brand-new character to you. She's part of the Galwyrn race; the bird-like-humanoid people who live in Galwind, a sky kingdom above Evagren.

Galwyrns, as I might have stated long before, come in various colors. They might look like normal humans, just with wings, tail feathers, and long ears, and also, their nose and moth meld together in a beak-like way. Kind of complicated-sounding, but you might know what I mean. It doesn't look stupid, if that helps!
On the other hand, they might have blanched skin the color of paper, or even as black as outer space, or, more commonly, vibrantly colored and patterned! It all varies, but the whole race is no different altogether.
Galwyrns are the Tiadan's opposites; bird-like people as oppose to fish-like people, only the Tiadans are more humanoid than the Galwyrns due to the fact they don't have beaked faces; just fins and gills.

Back to the character, her name is Wendi. She doesn't have a last name yet, but that's hardly important at the moment!
She's a "Golden Eagle" Galwyrn. She has the wings and tail feathers of a golden eagle and has regular, light-tan skin (not saying any other skin colors aren't regular), and gold eyes.
...However, in the picture I drew of her, I accidentally made her eyes green. Well, whatever! Logically, they should be gold, but they happen to be green in the pic. See?

I am full aware of the extra-fullness of one of her left wing. It makes a slightly inconvenient flaw in her appearance and balance in flight, which is actually good on my part, since no character should be perfect. That's called a Mary-Sue. Look it up; it's very important to know what a Mary-Sue is. VERY.

Wendi, unlike some of my characters, has a full family. A father, a mother, an older sister and brother and a little brother, too. They don't have names yet, but they will later.
Wendi has a very outgoing and attentive personality and doesn't normally get angry a whole lot. She's treated well most of the time, so why should she?

Lastly, Wendi has yet to appear in any of my novels, but there are plans for her appearance in the first "Lirin Bahonan" book, from Vallin's point of view. Likely, Wendi's family finds him and takes him in after Lord Shadowfang's tornadoes strike Evagren's field and send everyone to and fro... And even skyward.
She may as well appear in her own novel at some point as well, as that would be interesting...
Anyway, now you know who Wendi is!

In conclusion, it's back down to regular business here. I'll be continuing to update about new novels, characters, etc., and anything else will be announced on my other blog, and there should be a link on the right of this post somewhere.

(This was yesterday's post, edited today instead due to some internet issues)

Script Frenzy: Fight to the Finish!!

HOLY COW. My script ended at 140 pages, so I just dropped my word count goal and entered it in. I know that's cheating, but I was getting SO BORED OF IT... Besides, It DID end, genuinely.
It's incredibly cheesy and the ending is really lame, but I'm not that concerned because I will edit it someday, but I don't even want to think about it right now. Ew!
So, I beat my second year of Script Frenzy and I don't REALLY deserve a YAY for skipping out like that, but perhaps I'll find something extra-interesting for next year. This year wasn't a good one for me, I guess. :(
However! You! Reach your page count goal regardless of what obstacles are in your way! It doesn't have to be a perfect masterpiece at first, just edit it later. The goal is to, well, meet your page count goal. Don't cut short of your goal and take claims of a win like I did...
I'm not proud nor ashamed of myself, I'm just like, whatever. XD Just don't follow my example.
So, this was an odd month for me, but best luck to you!
Whew.

Script Frenzy nears it's end...

I have about 125 pages so far and I'm already starting to get rather bored of it since it took a rather boring turn, if you know what I mean. After discovering the plots of a secret agency's universal threats, Lonri's mentor, General Kingston, is now dragging Lonri all over the place to try and track down the main 'secret agent's' that escaped before they arrived on the scene, where many police and military officers had raided the thug's building.
Later, Lonri already managed to track down the especially obnoxious woman in the group who loves to bug him, but he needs to sniff out (in wolf form, of course) her companion, Johnson, and also their crazy boss.
Sure, it's not THAT boring, but I want to get to the point, you know? But I have about 25 more pages to go... Hmm... I'll find weird and interesting filler and edit it later like normal people do.
Anyway, aside from fixing something up that I plan to show to friends, that's pretty much all that's happened. I'm trying to keep you updated every day about my writings, but until after script frenzy, there isn't a whole lot going on.

So, see you!

Feng Song Re-Write

That's right! Feng Song is such a mess, like I've mentioned several times before, so I'm re-writing it. Really, the situation calls for it. It's that bad.
Given the fact it's 60,000 words of a mad-dash with a bad plot during one month, you can kind of figure out why I'm doing this, right?
It's true; Lirin Bahonan does need to be re-written, since the actual series has yet to be completely written, but that will have to wait... Longer. It's not as bad as Feng Song; it's just outdated and short...
The new plot of Feng Song hasn't really been decided yet; I'm just writing the beginning all over again. I'm getting rid of and adding new characters, but the most interesting and important remain.
This story still has the same storyline aspects; a Chijan (Chinese) girl named Feng Song who lives in an ancient Chinese city that was transported to another world entirely for a mysterious reason. The people there are forbidden to pass the mountains that surround them.
Feng will still meet Kiang Wu, Tao Lang, Akio Kiba, Huli Jing Lin, Hong Lang Zhong and, of course, Long Haiyang/Bing.
Also, I've tackled "The Primal Red" again, too, and I still need to keep writing my script for this month...
So, it's going to be busy again...

Hey, listen up!

I know quite a few people have been viewing my blog, now, so I'd like to state something very important to you all:
I know I might seem like a total whacked-out weirdo with a big ego and too mush enthusiasm and energy, but I don't bite. :D See, EXPRESSION is essential to me when posting, so you can tell what kind of mood I'm in with each post. But, uhhh, I know I'm a little exaggerated and eccentric, I admit... For an example, I'm not really a very serious person, but that's a good thing! Am I right, or am I right?
I type almost exactly the way I talk, so it looks weird on a screen... Also, my description of novels, not the ideas themselves, but the way of describing, is RIDICULOUS! ...As you could probably tell, but get used to it, bro.
So, I just wanted to get that out of my chest. Thanks for all of your support, since even just looking counts. :D

On another note, I'm going to try and figure out how, if possible, I can get a photo album of some sort on Blogger so I can show you all of my latest art.
I'm still working on humans, but I hope my creatures are dazzling nonetheless. :D

Ciao!
Wolf

ACHOO.

So, today marks the 23rd day of April, the 23rd day of Script Frenzy as well. I've written about 108 pages so far, and I plan to reach 150 by the end of this month, although uncalled for cold symptoms, though fading, seem to try and stand in my way.
Taking it easy today, mostly, but I need to hit 115 pages today, so I'm already a tab bit behind... But I'll catch up in a jiffy, I'm sure!

After the Frenzy, I'll get back to my usual novels...
I might inform you that my personal word count record of all time is 90,000+! It's quite amazing, huh? RIGHT?!
I have a friend who wrote 100,000 words in one month and who KNOWS how they had the time and patience, but perhaps I'll get that good... In time.
That's pretty much all for today, so, until next time, see you!

Script Frenzy! And New Novel!

My script is going well. My goal, as I said before, it 150 pages, if not more. I've gotten 37 pages right now.
I also changed the names of the characters since their original names from that dream I had were really weird.
"Joey" is "Aaron" now, as you know, and has changed completely, and "Libya" is "Lydia". Because Libya is a place, and it would seem a little odd for me to name her that... So Lydia is waaaaaay better.
I had planned to change their names, yes, but I haven't settled on a new one for Lonri. I might keep it like that, who knows?
Anyway, that aside...

New novel! I mentioned in a past post about Tara Cleaver, the sassy captain of a pirate ship, right? Well, the plot's changed a bit and I'm writing it right now.
Tara is the the daughter of William Cleaver, the original captain of The Primal Red. He died in a battle and Tara took his place at a young age.
Tara absolutely does not have it rough! She has every one of the pirates under her thumb because no matter how small she is and no matter the fact she's only twenty in the present, she can be SCARY, and she's a very capable person. If a pirate starts to doubt her or be a jerk, BAM! Submit or you're going overboard!
Needless to say, Tara Cleaver is quite the control freak. Eventually all of the pirates learned to trust and cooperate with her like she was an equal, and she reduced the madness-level, but is still very bossy and snappish.
I've written as far as her falling overboard The Primal Red during a hurricane, and is found on the beach of a coastal village in Bleumir, which is in Tiada, where all of those fish-finned people with noses and gills live.
The novel has a name; "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay". It might be temporary, since I'm thinking of changing it to "The Primal Red", since the plot can eventually circle around Tara's father's secrets and why the ship was named that. Yeah, that sounds pretty interesting! Or it could be a series or a trilogy or something of the sort and it could be "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay: The Primal Red", then "The Pirates of Belumir Bay: Something-or-another". Maybe. Or just a single book, like "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria". But then again, that has a prequel, so that makes more sense. Ooh, what if I made a prequel to "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay"?!
It's considerable. For now, I'm going to focus on writing this novel and change it's title later depending on what I settle on.

Also! Did you know that a lot of these novels I write hold heroes from the guardian's lands? For an example:
"Lirin Bahonan" has Lirin, the hero of Evagren, and also the guardian and queen, Lukamakari.
"ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria" has Almanzo, the hero of Eldendor, and also the guardian and king, Eldendor himself.
"The Pirates of Bleumir Bay"/"The Primal Red" has possibly Bernard, and also Nanatiada, the guardian and queen.

Gardia appears in various novels. He shows up in "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria" and that (still) nameless Takuna novel the most, but might only be mentioned in "Lirin Bahonan".

"The Dawnwolf" is the only novel set in Tanakosk. Lirin Bahonan's friends are sent there during the War of the Mask, and it's mentioned in a few other novels, but not much.
Rutorra is in both "Lirin Bahonan" and "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria", as well as that Takuna novel, too.
It might possibly be in "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay" too.
Anyway, I'm just rambling, here. I'm going to head off and write in that script some more, now.

A decision made...

To my (likely few) followers!
It's become clear to me that there is still much to be learned in the ways of writing novels and the publication system(s)... Although I've been writing for many years, I must NOT get ahead of myself and become full of pride that everyone laughs at behind my back!
While my ideas may be unique, there is still more to accomplish before I can publish a thing. So, thus, publishing any novels of mine right now is entire out of the question. I will continue to write, of course! I just won't publish anything until I'm confident with my skill level.
As I continue to look deeper into the laws of writing and keep my skills rising high as well, I hope to accomplish many things. If you have any suggestions for good books on writing (description, action and character development especially), feel free to comment and tell me!
Any other tips would be nice as well, too, so don't hold back!
I'm going to keep writing and writing and have fun while I'm at it. And one day, I just might actually publish something, but not today. :)

As for Script Frenzy, today marks the first day! My goal is a measly 150 words, but I plan to exceed it. I wrote 11 pages today. Hope all of you script and novel writers are doing great out there!

Until next time... Ta-ta!

LIRIN BAHONAN: RISING RAGE!

Too much enthusiasm! Just yesterday I finished putting all of the characters into my yWriter project...
And now that Lirin's history is pretty much done altering itself drastically in my head...
And now that I have plenty of good music to listen to...
And since yWriter makes revision and editing tidy and easy...
The Lirin Bahonan series is going to make a grand return!
Err... Sort of. Of course I know what I'm talking about, but do you? Probably half the stuff I say on my blog doesn't make a speck of sense to you, but, ah, whatever. Once I actually get a novel published, maybe at least 10% more will make sense.
That aside.
Lirin Bahonan: Rising Rage (abbreviated to LB:RR) is going to be rewritten. Same for Legends of Tanakosk, War of the Mask, whatever the Tacian one was called, and, of course, two more after that...
The fifth one, the one after the Tacian one, is going to kind of dark, where Lirin has to go track down his daughter Lexi and also sort out some super big messes he's gotten himself into.
The sixth one, possibly the last, has a surprising twist to it... Our heroic Lirin Bahonan is--!
HALT. That's enough! You'll see!
Well, I've got stuff to do today, but I'm going to get writing! And for a reminder to us all...
DON'T DO THE STUFF WOLF DOES! YOU'LL DRIVE YOURSELF NUTS!
As in, make your novel easy to re-write and revise by using a program other than Microsoft Word or Rich Text Document... If it's a long one, that is. I advise yWriter, since I can't shut up about it. :P
Also, if it's a story as complex as Lirin Bahonan (Ah-HEM! *chest swells*), make sure you have plenty of time for everything to kick in before you dive into it.
That said, I'm off.

Busy, busy, busy!

So busy! Did I mention I was busy?!
ACTUALLY... I could be un-busy if I wanted too, but that would drive me insane if I did.
Sorry I haven't posted lately. Things will pick up sooner than later, I'm certain, because I just finished the looooooooong summary of "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria".
...Did I also mention what a pain it is to type that out every freakin' time? GAH! WHINEWHINECOMPLAIN!!!!
Okay, I'm done. I could make it shorter if I wanted to, but the thing is, I don't. ^_^
That aside, I'm coming up with yet another novel idea right now, alongside the Evaran military one, which is kind of at the bottom of the list right now. Lately, it's been just that nameless novel about the Ancients. I'm also typing up a better summary for that one. Bamborain rains is being boring right now, and I'm getting ready to dive into a BIG part in "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria *Steeeeeeeeeeeeeem!* and I'm even getting ready to start writing a script in April! You know which one; the one about the weird alien guy. It's been entitled "Stranger". I don't know if it's temporary or not, but it will do.
I've been thinking about finally re-writing "Lirin Bahonan" lately, but that'll have to wait. Awhile. A whole series? Yeah. It's not like I have writers block or something like that, but I just don't feel like it. I'll figure it out; I always do.
Right! So, that new idea; it's basically set in Tiada, which is the third Guardian-ruled country (Eldendor and Evagren being first and second), and it's element is mainly "water" (whereas Eldendor is "fire" and Evagren is "earth"), and pirates are known to live in numerous places there, so not many people dare to set foot there.
Tiadans are known to have fins (which they can fold up quite tightly when not in use) on their arms and legs. Their ears are pretty much fin-like, but averagely-sized, perhaps a little bigger, like an elf's.
The main character here is Bernard, who currently lacks a last name. He's fifteen, and he's Tiadan. Brown hair, fairly tanned skin and blue eyes. He tends to wear a bandanna around his neck a lot, too.
The basic plot is where he's merrily (or, not so much) living his life in Bleumir Village, a village that sits in front of a vast jungle, which has a path that leads to the city. All the houses, facing the beach, are on top of one long deck.
 ... BOOOOOOOOOOORING!
No, I wasn't done yet. Anyway, a pirate ship comes to the village one day and a band of ruthless pirates, led by a sassy, petite female captain named Tara Cleaver, come and raid the people. When Bernard tried to confront the Captain Tara, she only ends up kidnapping him and making him her "cabin boy".
Of course she did! Because all pirates are real jerks like that! Yes, I know, pirates were faaaaaaaaaaaar nastier than the books, but hey, we've gotta tone it down...
Hrrm.
Anyway, that's as far as I've thought into this. I have a picture of Tara Cleaver, so I'll post it later.
So, that's all for now! I'm working on summaries, my usual novels, the further development of ideas, and the new plot for Feng Song. Oh, by the way, I made the cover image for it. What do you think?

FENG SONG
MARY HILLS

I made it using Microsoft Paint, a scanned drawing of mine, and a lot of embossing via Artweaver. I likes it. I may or may not actually use it when/if I go to publish it, but it's considerable. After all, HONG LANG ZHONG is THE main picture!
Also known as Zhong, he's the Guardian of the Sun. Very important. He, alongside Huli Jing Lin, one of the the Guardians of Nature, are my two favorites of all the guardians in Feng Song. XD
Hm, I sure do have a thing for guardians...

Anyway, now I'm gone, but not for good. Until then... Ta-ta!
