Last-minute change of plan!!

Yeah, I decided to write "The Dawnwolf" after all, and I've ditched "Midori Ookami"... because it wasn't satisfying enough, and no matter what I did, it lacked originality, so I got disgusted and gave up. XD
Since yesterday evening, I've been madly getting the plot and storyline together, and I've nearly finished with the rough outline, but it still needs a little more... so I'm fighting to get to the finish line before time is up!
Thankfully, I'm nearly done. I have all the characters, and the plot has been developing on its own for a few years (yes indeedy), but I filled in several off the holes and put it all together.
Since I don't have much time to waste, I'll tell you the rest later.

Ta-ta!

Two down... (LB:LT)

... Three more to go!
Yes, you'd better believe it! I've finished the second book in the "Lirin Bahonan" series, with a score of 67,000 words! It's about 5,000 words less than the first book, which was obviously, if you can count, 72,000 words.
But, as you've heard me say time and time again, it's not really, actually finished. The first draft is; the storyline is. There are a few holes and a mass of typos and grammatical errors that I'll fix when the time comes. I can edit/revise anytime, but I don't want lose sight of the other novel ideas, so I'd best write them all up while I can. Then again, these ideas aren't something I can easily forget, so I guess I really am just putting off work...

Anyhoo, I'm writing third book in the "Lirin Bahonan" series, "The War of the Mask", right away, but I'll break from it during NaNoWriMo, duh.
Further details come later, but spoiler-free, guaranteed!

...If you're curious, I'd say it took me about 2-3 months to write "LN:LT", excluding some of the slack-off days. Some. I think.

Dismissed!

Midori Ookami: Sacred Artifacts

As I promised, I'm going to be posting today about the different artifacts/weapons in "Midori Ookami"!
There are six total:

The Golden Mirror of Takamagahara: Midori's mirror artifact/weapon. This mirror was rumored to be enshrined in a great temple within the High Plain of the Heavens, until it was shattered into three pieces.
Each stray piece represents a different thing; courage and loyalty, wisdom and honor, and then strength and warrior spirit. All combined, it creates the complete mirror once more, with the ability to smite the evil encroaching upon the land of Nippon.

The Broken Sun Annihilator: Kurayami's mirror artifact/weapon. It was once the "Eight Hand Mirror", a sacred artifact enshrined within a certain place in Takamagahara, but Kurayami took it and shattered its face, combining some of Amaterasu's stolen power within it as well as her own to create the Broken Sun Annihilator, and thus made it hers to keep.

Sword of Storms: Kai (Midori's sister)'s sword artifact/weapon. It's a large, long, curve-edged blade, rumored to have one belonged to the storm god, Susano-o. It has the ability to summon storms by merely pointing it to the skies and uttering a brief prayer.

Dragon's Roar: Kenta (Midori's brother)'s sword artifact/weapon. A gigantic, ragged-edged blade that was enshrined at the Temple of Chie to protect Ougon City from disaster, until Kenta took it.
The sword is capable of bursting into flames with one violent swing.

Beads of the Sun: Akai (and later Akane)'s bead-strand artifact/weapon. This strand of polished, red magatama beads represents the heat and light of the sun, and is rumored to have been the sun goddess' necklace.

Fangs of a Fallen Beast: Yoru's bead-strand artifact/weapon. A strand of sharp fang beads that once belonged to a vicious beast, imbued with powerful darkness. It was given to Yoru by Kurayami.

...And that's all of them! You'll find more details about how they all came to be and how all of the characters got them when... you read the book
Sorry, I'm thinning out the spoilers as much as I can. I guarantee you that this novel will be entirely possible to obtain once I start selling it on Amazon/CreateSpace, if I decide to do so.

See you, bro!

Midori Ookami: The Characters

Yes, well, I admit I completely copied my friend's idea of posting information/descriptions about/for my NaNoWriMo characters, since I realized that I HADN'T. And that's not good. How am I supposed to keep your attention if you don't know who my characters are this November? Yeahhhhh! So, we have...:

Midori: The protagonist of the story. Midori is courageous, bold, and has an outgoing personality. He detests drama and doesn't sweat the small or big stuff. He also dislikes being praised and thanked profusely, and can become easily embarrassed, or in other cases, if he's being scolded, he's easily ashamed.
Midori is a green wolf, and he bears a weapon known as the Golden Mirror of Takamagahara.

Taiyou: The deuteragonist of the story. Taiyou is Midori's fairy companion, and also a great, loyal messenger of the sun goddess, Amaterasu. She's bit bossy and is easily angered, but is normally cheerful and optimistic.

Kurayami: The antagonist of the story. Kurayami is the master of the Yami Plain, and also the most dreaded creature in all of Nippon. She's often cranky and snappish, and is prone to terrible tantrums, but she is also very beautiful, devious, and deceitful.
She bears a weapon known as the Broken Sun Annihilator.

Yoru: The "sub-villain" of the story.  He is portrayed as the primary antagonist, but really isn't. Yoru is fierce yet serious, but is full of a bitter sorrow deep inside that he dares not show. He has many secrets to hide as well, especially from his Master.
He bears a weapon known as the Fangs of a Fallen Beast.

Akai: A primary supporting character in the story. Akai is Akane's father, and he is grumpy and often made cross, and despite the fact he can be very ferocious and angry at times, not to mention blunt as well as rude,  he has a kind and protective side to him.
He bears a weapon known as the Beads of the Sun.

Akane: A primary supporting character in the story. Akane is Akai's daughter, and she has a giddy and upbeat personality and is easily excited, but can be very aggressive and even emotional at times.
Akai's weapon is later passed on to Akane.

Tsuki: A primary supporting character in this story. Tsuki is Akane's fairy companion, and he is quiet, even a bit peevish and unfriendly. He doesn't talk much, and (like Yoru) has many secrets.

((I'll post information about the items and some of the locations in this story later on.))

Oh, and I'm aware of their somewhat typical names, if you know what I mean. They're wolves. Get over it. XD

Planet Crichianadiie's Belated 3012th Birthday!

HOW COULD I FORGET MY OWN PLANET'S BIRTHDAY?!
I guess things really have been hectic lately. As of the 8th-9th of this month, Planet Crichianadiie turned 3012 years old. That was technically the New Year of the planet. Cool, huh?

Anyway, aside from that, I've mostly been working on "writing drills" to raise my skills a bit, but that's it until NaNoWriMo. I'm taking a break from "LB:LT" until afterward, but I'll probably work on it a little during this month... if I feel like it. It's bad, I know, but I don't have rules, do I?!

Well, I just felt like announcing that. I'm going back to my writing, then!

LB:LT: The Latest!

So! You undoubtedly saw my sweet new theme, right? Pretty simple, but it's cool enough, I'd say.

With that out of the way, I may as well tell you that I have completely forgotten to update you with the latest in "LB.LT"! I shall commence to tell the short version of the story, but first, you should know that I'm also thinking of changing the series name a little, as well as some of the novel titles, but that'll wait until the series is completed, I think.
Also, I won't be launching into long, spoiler-infested descriptions of my latest novel work anymore. If I'm going to publish, I really shouldn't be tossing all that out there if I want readers. -_-
So, long story short, Lirin succeeds in rescuing Lukamakari, but then Lord Shadowfang makes a major move in his evil plot, and it leaves everyone in a tight spot. Takuna has his own problems to sort out, so he leaves Lirin with full custody and control over of the Golden Chronicle, and it's up to him and his friends to sort out the problems at hand. They go to gather information in Tanakosk, the small, northwestern country, but to no avail, since their last source of information, their only hope, is destroyed when they're unexpected attacked by Time Wraiths.
Lirin manages to stop this from happening, but another problem comes up; the source of their hope loses it's memory, and they have to seek Wakini, the Ancient of Wisdom and Knowledge, in order to recover the memories.
And so! That is what's happening right now.

Oh, and a new character is Luther, an odd young man who claims to be a traveler, and calls Tanakosk his home at the end of the day. He possesses a donkey, and also a banjo, which comes in handy (he came to Lirin and his friend's rescue, and Time Wraiths were warded off by it's music) in many ways. He often uses it to express an emotion in the air, comically.
Luther has long, fair-colored hair, and he is fair-skinned, like most Tannish people. At first glance, Lirin mistook him for a woman. XD

And that's the latest! Until next time, with little to no spoilers!

'Hoy, there!

I haven't posted much these days... but if you're looking for at least some change, keep your eyes peeled for a new blog theme and background! I'm making a new one, and it's a-gonna kick arse.

Lately, I've only been gearing up for NaNoWriMo. I have been writing in "LB:LT", but it's slowed down a bit, so I think I'll take a break from it until I gain some inspiration.
I've also been working on a screenplay script about the Gray World, and the people who dwell within (MC is Bain). Don't ask WHY, I just feel like it...
That's pretty much it, though, aside from the usual, and my life outside of writing.

So! This is the basic cover image for my NaNoWriMo novel, "Midori Ookami". Check it out:

It really is quite simple. I plan to edit it a bit, or get a different image, but this one will do for now.

Until next time, then!
