After the frenzy... (Introducing Wendi)

Now that Script Frenzy is over for me, I'm moving on to some other things, now...

I'm introducing an almost-but-not-quite-brand-new character to you. She's part of the Galwyrn race; the bird-like-humanoid people who live in Galwind, a sky kingdom above Evagren.

Galwyrns, as I might have stated long before, come in various colors. They might look like normal humans, just with wings, tail feathers, and long ears, and also, their nose and moth meld together in a beak-like way. Kind of complicated-sounding, but you might know what I mean. It doesn't look stupid, if that helps!
On the other hand, they might have blanched skin the color of paper, or even as black as outer space, or, more commonly, vibrantly colored and patterned! It all varies, but the whole race is no different altogether.
Galwyrns are the Tiadan's opposites; bird-like people as oppose to fish-like people, only the Tiadans are more humanoid than the Galwyrns due to the fact they don't have beaked faces; just fins and gills.

Back to the character, her name is Wendi. She doesn't have a last name yet, but that's hardly important at the moment!
She's a "Golden Eagle" Galwyrn. She has the wings and tail feathers of a golden eagle and has regular, light-tan skin (not saying any other skin colors aren't regular), and gold eyes.
...However, in the picture I drew of her, I accidentally made her eyes green. Well, whatever! Logically, they should be gold, but they happen to be green in the pic. See?

I am full aware of the extra-fullness of one of her left wing. It makes a slightly inconvenient flaw in her appearance and balance in flight, which is actually good on my part, since no character should be perfect. That's called a Mary-Sue. Look it up; it's very important to know what a Mary-Sue is. VERY.

Wendi, unlike some of my characters, has a full family. A father, a mother, an older sister and brother and a little brother, too. They don't have names yet, but they will later.
Wendi has a very outgoing and attentive personality and doesn't normally get angry a whole lot. She's treated well most of the time, so why should she?

Lastly, Wendi has yet to appear in any of my novels, but there are plans for her appearance in the first "Lirin Bahonan" book, from Vallin's point of view. Likely, Wendi's family finds him and takes him in after Lord Shadowfang's tornadoes strike Evagren's field and send everyone to and fro... And even skyward.
She may as well appear in her own novel at some point as well, as that would be interesting...
Anyway, now you know who Wendi is!

In conclusion, it's back down to regular business here. I'll be continuing to update about new novels, characters, etc., and anything else will be announced on my other blog, and there should be a link on the right of this post somewhere.

(This was yesterday's post, edited today instead due to some internet issues)

Script Frenzy: Fight to the Finish!!

HOLY COW. My script ended at 140 pages, so I just dropped my word count goal and entered it in. I know that's cheating, but I was getting SO BORED OF IT... Besides, It DID end, genuinely.
It's incredibly cheesy and the ending is really lame, but I'm not that concerned because I will edit it someday, but I don't even want to think about it right now. Ew!
So, I beat my second year of Script Frenzy and I don't REALLY deserve a YAY for skipping out like that, but perhaps I'll find something extra-interesting for next year. This year wasn't a good one for me, I guess. :(
However! You! Reach your page count goal regardless of what obstacles are in your way! It doesn't have to be a perfect masterpiece at first, just edit it later. The goal is to, well, meet your page count goal. Don't cut short of your goal and take claims of a win like I did...
I'm not proud nor ashamed of myself, I'm just like, whatever. XD Just don't follow my example.
So, this was an odd month for me, but best luck to you!
Whew.

Script Frenzy nears it's end...

I have about 125 pages so far and I'm already starting to get rather bored of it since it took a rather boring turn, if you know what I mean. After discovering the plots of a secret agency's universal threats, Lonri's mentor, General Kingston, is now dragging Lonri all over the place to try and track down the main 'secret agent's' that escaped before they arrived on the scene, where many police and military officers had raided the thug's building.
Later, Lonri already managed to track down the especially obnoxious woman in the group who loves to bug him, but he needs to sniff out (in wolf form, of course) her companion, Johnson, and also their crazy boss.
Sure, it's not THAT boring, but I want to get to the point, you know? But I have about 25 more pages to go... Hmm... I'll find weird and interesting filler and edit it later like normal people do.
Anyway, aside from fixing something up that I plan to show to friends, that's pretty much all that's happened. I'm trying to keep you updated every day about my writings, but until after script frenzy, there isn't a whole lot going on.

So, see you!

Feng Song Re-Write

That's right! Feng Song is such a mess, like I've mentioned several times before, so I'm re-writing it. Really, the situation calls for it. It's that bad.
Given the fact it's 60,000 words of a mad-dash with a bad plot during one month, you can kind of figure out why I'm doing this, right?
It's true; Lirin Bahonan does need to be re-written, since the actual series has yet to be completely written, but that will have to wait... Longer. It's not as bad as Feng Song; it's just outdated and short...
The new plot of Feng Song hasn't really been decided yet; I'm just writing the beginning all over again. I'm getting rid of and adding new characters, but the most interesting and important remain.
This story still has the same storyline aspects; a Chijan (Chinese) girl named Feng Song who lives in an ancient Chinese city that was transported to another world entirely for a mysterious reason. The people there are forbidden to pass the mountains that surround them.
Feng will still meet Kiang Wu, Tao Lang, Akio Kiba, Huli Jing Lin, Hong Lang Zhong and, of course, Long Haiyang/Bing.
Also, I've tackled "The Primal Red" again, too, and I still need to keep writing my script for this month...
So, it's going to be busy again...

Hey, listen up!

I know quite a few people have been viewing my blog, now, so I'd like to state something very important to you all:
I know I might seem like a total whacked-out weirdo with a big ego and too mush enthusiasm and energy, but I don't bite. :D See, EXPRESSION is essential to me when posting, so you can tell what kind of mood I'm in with each post. But, uhhh, I know I'm a little exaggerated and eccentric, I admit... For an example, I'm not really a very serious person, but that's a good thing! Am I right, or am I right?
I type almost exactly the way I talk, so it looks weird on a screen... Also, my description of novels, not the ideas themselves, but the way of describing, is RIDICULOUS! ...As you could probably tell, but get used to it, bro.
So, I just wanted to get that out of my chest. Thanks for all of your support, since even just looking counts. :D

On another note, I'm going to try and figure out how, if possible, I can get a photo album of some sort on Blogger so I can show you all of my latest art.
I'm still working on humans, but I hope my creatures are dazzling nonetheless. :D

Ciao!

ACHOO.

So, today marks the 23rd day of April, the 23rd day of Script Frenzy as well. I've written about 108 pages so far, and I plan to reach 150 by the end of this month, although uncalled for cold symptoms, though fading, seem to try and stand in my way.
Taking it easy today, mostly, but I need to hit 115 pages today, so I'm already a tab bit behind... But I'll catch up in a jiffy, I'm sure!

After the Frenzy, I'll get back to my usual novels...
I might inform you that my personal word count record of all time is 90,000+! It's quite amazing, huh? RIGHT?!
I have a friend who wrote 100,000 words in one month and who KNOWS how they had the time and patience, but perhaps I'll get that good... In time.
That's pretty much all for today, so, until next time, see you!

Script Frenzy! And New Novel!

My script is going well. My goal, as I said before, it 150 pages, if not more. I've gotten 37 pages right now.
I also changed the names of the characters since their original names from that dream I had were really weird.
"Joey" is "Aaron" now, as you know, and has changed completely, and "Libya" is "Lydia". Because Libya is a place, and it would seem a little odd for me to name her that... So Lydia is waaaaaay better.
I had planned to change their names, yes, but I haven't settled on a new one for Lonri. I might keep it like that, who knows?
Anyway, that aside...

New novel! I mentioned in a past post about Tara Cleaver, the sassy captain of a pirate ship, right? Well, the plot's changed a bit and I'm writing it right now.
Tara is the the daughter of William Cleaver, the original captain of The Primal Red. He died in a battle and Tara took his place at a young age.
Tara absolutely does not have it rough! She has every one of the pirates under her thumb because no matter how small she is and no matter the fact she's only twenty in the present, she can be SCARY, and she's a very capable person. If a pirate starts to doubt her or be a jerk, BAM! Submit or you're going overboard!
Needless to say, Tara Cleaver is quite the control freak. Eventually all of the pirates learned to trust and cooperate with her like she was an equal, and she reduced the madness-level, but is still very bossy and snappish.
I've written as far as her falling overboard The Primal Red during a hurricane, and is found on the beach of a coastal village in Bleumir, which is in Tiada, where all of those fish-finned people with noses and gills live.
The novel has a name; "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay". It might be temporary, since I'm thinking of changing it to "The Primal Red", since the plot can eventually circle around Tara's father's secrets and why the ship was named that. Yeah, that sounds pretty interesting! Or it could be a series or a trilogy or something of the sort and it could be "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay: The Primal Red", then "The Pirates of Belumir Bay: Something-or-another". Maybe. Or just a single book, like "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria". But then again, that has a prequel, so that makes more sense. Ooh, what if I made a prequel to "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay"?!
It's considerable. For now, I'm going to focus on writing this novel and change it's title later depending on what I settle on.

Also! Did you know that a lot of these novels I write hold heroes from the guardian's lands? For an example:
"Lirin Bahonan" has Lirin, the hero of Evagren, and also the guardian and queen, Lukamakari.
"ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria" has Almanzo, the hero of Eldendor, and also the guardian and king, Eldendor himself.
"The Pirates of Bleumir Bay"/"The Primal Red" has possibly Bernard, and also Nanatiada, the guardian and queen.

Gardia appears in various novels. He shows up in "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria" and that (still) nameless Takuna novel the most, but might only be mentioned in "Lirin Bahonan".

"The Dawnwolf" is the only novel set in Tanakosk. Lirin Bahonan's friends are sent there during the War of the Mask, and it's mentioned in a few other novels, but not much.
Rutorra is in both "Lirin Bahonan" and "ELDENDOR: The Rise of Dagria", as well as that Takuna novel, too.
It might possibly be in "The Pirates of Bleumir Bay" too.
Anyway, I'm just rambling, here. I'm going to head off and write in that script some more, now.

A decision made...

To my (likely few) followers!
It's become clear to me that there is still much to be learned in the ways of writing novels and the publication system(s)... Although I've been writing for many years, I must NOT get ahead of myself and become full of pride that everyone laughs at behind my back!
While my ideas may be unique, there is still more to accomplish before I can publish a thing. So, thus, publishing any novels of mine right now is entire out of the question. I will continue to write, of course! I just won't publish anything until I'm confident with my skill level.
As I continue to look deeper into the laws of writing and keep my skills rising high as well, I hope to accomplish many things. If you have any suggestions for good books on writing (description, action and character development especially), feel free to comment and tell me!
Any other tips would be nice as well, too, so don't hold back!
I'm going to keep writing and writing and have fun while I'm at it. And one day, I just might actually publish something, but not today. :)

As for Script Frenzy, today marks the first day! My goal is a measly 150 words, but I plan to exceed it. I wrote 11 pages today. Hope all of you script and novel writers are doing great out there!

Until next time... Ta-ta!
